The “Maria Stuart” dress from from the 2016 collection of Lena Lumelsky, Crimean born Antwerp designer. This dress is named after Mary Queen of Scotts who was beheaded for plotting to assassinate Queen Elizabeth I.  One of six dresses named after famous female royals who were murdered, executed or assassinated.

This dress will stand out. Anchored by a fitted silk bustier in blue and white silk with silver tone buckles. A silk and cotton outer layer drapes beautifully over the body, with a standup collar, jewelry accent at back of neckline, hi-low hem and even pockets! Elegant regal-inspired tonal embroidery at neckline and hem. Beautiful cursive letters at hem declare: “Domine, salvum fac Reginam!” Or Lord, Save the Queen, a nod to the theme of the collection, "Regicide," the deliberate killing of a monarch.

I recommend this for a Size 2. The bustier measures 15” wide at top and 11.5” across at the bottom. Closes with four silver hooks.
Total length from shoulder to hem is 43” at front and 50” at back.
